Advocate Health Care is a faith-based nonprofit health system in Illinois. We’re dedicated to changing patient expectations by giving them easy access to all they need to stay well, live well and achieve outstanding treatment outcomes.

In 2018, Advocate Health Care merged with Aurora Health Care of Wisconsin to form Advocate Aurora Health. And in 2022, Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health combined to create Advocate Health, the third-largest nonprofit integrated health system in the U.S.

 

Serving our communities

We serve patients across 11 hospitals and more than 250 sites of care. Our team of 6,300 doctors along with other health care providers truly care about providing the best in care by using the latest techniques and technology and participating in research.

Our mission is to serve the health needs of individuals, families and communities through a holistic philosophy rooted in our fundamental understanding of human beings as created in God's image. With this philosophy, we approach health care by treating people's physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Advocate Health Care was founded more than 100 years ago by members of local faith communities. Our founders were committed to providing much needed health care services to underserved areas.
