Call 800-216-1110Since 1979, the Advocate Childhood Trauma Treatment Program has provided a range of specialized services for the treatment of and healing from experiences of trauma. The CTTP is a division of Advocate Health Care that provides behavioral health services for a diverse population of children, adolescents, and families.
To better serve our patients during the spread of COVID, we're offering therapy sessions by phone and video.
Behavioral health services for the Chicago area
We provide outpatient psychotherapy, counseling, and trauma treatment services for children, adolescents, and families, including:

Clinical psychology education
- Clinical Psychology Training Programs: We offer clinical training opportunities for doctoral level graduate students. We are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) for our one-year internship training program. We also follow the Associate of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) and the Associate of Chicagoland Externship and Practicum (ACEPT) policies for applications.
- Clinical Workbook - Treating Sexual Abuse and Trauma With Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities: This book was written by former CTTP faculty members, Vanessa Houdek, Psy.D. and Jennifer Gibson, Psy.D. The workbook was written to promote a standard in the field for clinicians to increase confidence, competence, and effectiveness in addressing child sexual abuse and trauma treatment with children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

To begin services, please call our Intake Department at 800-216-1110. CTTP has contracts with DCFS and a variety of private foster care agencies, and accepts many HMO/PPO health insurance plans. Individuals can be referred to CTTP under our DCFS-Medicaid Counseling/Sexual Abuse contract, our DCFS-Medicaid Post Adoption contract, or through a private foster care agency contract.
All of these services are available at our Oak Lawn via Telehealth.

An initial appointment may be conveniently scheduled by calling Intake at 800-216-1110. Therapists arrange appointment times directly with their patients.
